Carlo Revello Barolo R.G. isn’t just a new representative of the King of Wines and the Wine of Kings. R.G. is a new pillar of one of Barolo’s great new estates, as well as a new pillar of Barolo, and possibly also a new pillar of all of Italian wine.

R.G. is an acronym for Giacomo Revello, the patriarch of the Revello family and the father of winemaker Carlo Revello. R.G. is also an acronym for the Rocche and Giachini vineyards in the Barolo commune of La Morra. Located in the Central Valley of Barolo, Rocche and Giachini derive the benefits of the Tortonian soils of its terroir. The calcareous marl of these vineyards and the gifts of their young winemaker’s skill render R.G. both perfumed and graceful, both supple and seductive. The wine greets you with intense and complex aromas of red fruit, spices and liquorice, then leads you to a palate of wild spring strawberries, rich summer cherries and soft, silky tannins. And its length and persistence take you right back to the glass, right back where you began.
