Critical Acclaim:
“94 points.
“Glistening magenta. Displays expansive, spice- and mineral-accented red/dark berry preserve scents that take on incense and lavender flourishes with air. Juicy, seamless and energetic on the palate, offering densely packed black raspberry, cherry liqueur and exotic spice flavors that show sharp delineation and back-end thrust. Finishes impressively long and smooth, with resonating red fruit, floral notes and velvety, harmonious tannins that make a cameo appearance.
“The appellation series of wines that were bottled through the 2015 vintage under the North Valley Vineyards name (Soter’s sister winery) now fall under the Soter Vineyards label. As in the past, these wines deliver very good value, not to mention well-defined regional character. Tony Soter and his co-winemaker, James Cahill, can be counted on to make concentrated, well-structured and sharply delineated wines regardless of vintage. Their extensive experience in the Willamette Valley has served them well over the recent spell of hot vintages, as these ‘16s and ‘15s show. The regional bottlings are approachable in their youth but age-worthy as well, while those bearing the Mineral Springs monikers are not only worthy of cellaring, they pretty much demand it.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
